● for renovations to improve the energy efficiency
● renovations and a post-retrofit evaluation must be completed by March 31, 2012
● provincial government no longer provides grants
● provincial government will pay 50% of the cost of a home energy audit, up to $150
● an energy audit must be conducted by a licensed service company
● the energy audit report provides recommendations for renovations
● once renovations has been completed, homeowner must have a second audit done by March 31, 2012 to determine the change in energy efficiency of the home
● homeowners must register with the program before booking their appointment with a licensed service company
● homeowners are to keep all receipts as proof
● those who participated in the provincial program before April 1, 2011 and did not receive the maximum amount of $5,000 can submit a new application for costs incurred after June 6, 2011
